Buralloy Ring Type Joints 2961 are manufactured according to ASME B16.20 standards and API specification 6A and 17B. Careful control of all manufacturing processes and sealing action through metal-to-metal contact ensure correct surface hardness to offer sealing without damaging flange connections. These metallic gaskets are also commonly used on extremely high pressure valves and pipe work assemblies, along with some high integrity pressure vessel joints. Buralloy Ring Type Joints 2961 are used in oil fields on drilling and completion equipment as well as in downstream refinery applications.

Due to the spherical elastomer body the pre-compression can be reduced and still shows a better sealability.

It absorbs the tightening forces necessary for high pressures while protecting the rubber seal from excessive compression. This gasket guarantees a uniform distribution of stresses by special sealing lip geometry combined with highest quality elastomers.
